Description
Calla lilies are one of the most graceful flowers used for professional flower arrangements, but what can be better than growing your own calla lilies at home. These long lasting flowers grow beautifully in home gardens and flower in early to mid-summer and carry on till the start of winter. Plant your lily bulbs in january or february just in time for spring. The lilies need full to partial sunlight (avoid afternoon summer sun) with a warm well-ventilated space and a very well-draining soil. The calla lily bulbs/rhizomes will sprout in a couple of weeks and when planted very early in spring it will bloom late summer that year. The beautiful white flower looks ethereal and stunning indoors and the bulbs grow in number each year giving you more plants and flowers.
